 PROVERBS 9:17-18
Prov 9:17  Stolen waters are sweet, and bread eaten in secret is pleasant.

Today’s verses I chose because I did not know what they meant so I hade to find out. This why I love the KJV no disrespect to anyone but I would have never found this in that niv I had when I was saved. Any way my KJV and the Holy Spirit showed me what it means, no surprise it goes right back to our first parents:
Gen 3:6 And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.

Notice she TOOK OF THE FRUIT, look back at our verse and it says STOLEN so our parents stole the fruit from the tree then DID EAT then they hid.  Not much has changed since then steal and hide for the fear of getting caught. I was the same way i would steal from my mom and my step dads cigarettes and run and hide to smoke them, when i finally got caught it was not fun no more, crazy how we do things that are not right, just for the rush. The same thing happens in marriages spouses cheat on each other and think that it is fun at the time then get caught and it is not so fun or catch something and end up dead or messed up for life. All because it was fun.

Prov 20:17 Bread of deceit is sweet to a man; but afterwards his mouth shall be filled with gravel.

I love the way the LORD puts it, that bread is sweet and then it becomes a gravel sandwich, not so good any more.
