PROVERBS 27:6&17
         Pro 27:6 Faithful are the wounds of a friend; but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful.
         Pro 27:17 Iron sharpeneth iron; so a man sharpeneth the countenance of his friend.

I like these verses, a true friend will wound you for your good, we all have blind spots in our lives that we don’t see. Those of you that have friends if you dare ask them what they see in you whether good or bad if they truly care they will tell you. Others will tell you what you want to hear they are kisses that are deceitful, have you believing a lie. Everybody is chicken today and won’t tell anybody anything, the one thing I miss about being up north, (Yankee) at least they tell it bluntly and you know how they feel about you.

           Rev 3:19 As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent.
           Mat 26:48 Now he that betrayed him gave them a sign, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that same is he: hold him fast.
           Mat 26:49 And forthwith he came to Jesus, and said, Hail, master; and kissed him.
           Mat 26:50 And Jesus said unto him, Friend, wherefore art thou come? Then came they, and laid hands on Jesus, and took him.

Verse 17 is why we need life groups so we can sharpen someone’s iron or we can get ours sharpened. Just like the first verse and this one we need to have Christian friends for that reason. This is why life groups would do wonders for our walk and our growth. Life groups are a biblical principle going to church one day a week is not going to weave everybody together.

          Job 4:3 Behold, thou hast instructed many, and thou hast strengthened the weak hands.
          Job 4:4 Thy words have upholden him that was falling, and thou hast strengthened the feeble knees.
          2Ti 1:8 Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;
